1.Transport between the airport and the hotel

We will rent three cars during the conference for transport between the airport and the hotel, and other occasions (e.g. conference dinner). We will arrange the following pick-ups:

Those who are not on these lists are invited to take taxis from/to Faro airport or railway station. The price of a taxi should be between 40 and 45 euros. Please keep the receipts for reimbursement after the conference. You may also take a bus (as indicated on the webpages of the hotel), but bus tickets will not be reimbursed.

2.Excursion to Tavira and conference dinner

If there are at least 15 persons interested, then we will organize an excursion to the town of Tavira and its surroundings. This excursion costs (at most) 21 euros per person and includes a Portuguese lunch near the beach. Please tell us soon whether you want to participate.

We also plan to organize a dinner with music on thursday evening for those who are interested.

3.Weather

Weather should be sunny (around 20 degrees celcius) during the day and fresh (around 10 degrees celcius) during the evening and the nights, at this time of the year. Those who are tough might want to swim in the ocean (be careful, the ocean is not guarded in winter, so it is recommented to stay close to the coast). There is a swimming pool in the hotel.
